Certification Process

Assurco’s Certification Processes follows the requirements of ISO 17021-1 and other standards. Below is a simplified version of the full process.

Assurco Certification Process

1. Submit Application

The client provides details about their organisation, scope of certification, and relevant processes through an application form.

2. Application Review

The Assurco reviews the application to confirm completeness, suitability, and identify any special considerations. We ensure we have the competence and capacity to fulfil the application.

3. Send Quote

A formal quotation is issued, outlining audit time, costs, and terms based on the application review.

4. Accept Quote

The client accepts the quotation and enters into a certification agreement, confirming readiness to proceed.

5. Plan Stage 1 Audit

An initial audit is scheduled to assess documentation and preparedness for Stage 2, including audit plan and logistics.

6. Conduct Stage 1 Audit

The audit team evaluates the management system documentation and readiness for full implementation.

7. Review Report

The Stage 1 audit report is reviewed, highlighting areas of concern and readiness for Stage 2.

8. Address any “Potential Non-Conformities”

The client resolves issues identified during Stage 1 to ensure compliance before Stage 2.

9. Plan Stage 2 Audit

The main certification audit is planned, covering all processes and locations within the agreed scope.

10. Conduct Stage 2 Audit

A full assessment of the management system is carried out to verify conformity with the standard.

11. Address any Findings

The client implements corrective actions for any nonconformities identified during Stage 2.

12. Technical Review

An independent technical review validates audit findings and ensures impartiality before certification.

13. Issue Certificate & Marks

Assurco issues the certificate and authorises use of certification marks.

14. Plan Surveillance Audit

Ongoing surveillance audits are scheduled to monitor continued compliance throughout the cycle.

15. Audit Cycle

The certification cycle continues with surveillance and recertification audits as per ISO requirements.
